Well, I know Michelle is brave enough, she sees this crap all the time.
I was a good little patient, and held the gauze in my mouth as long as I could- clenched into the back teeth. In fact, I rode the subway home like that.
Finally, I couldn't take the taste of blood any more, and spit it into the sink.
It looked so pretty, the contrast of the dramatic swoop of red against the bone-color of the sink, almost like modern art. It's almost like Stevie's crescent moon pendant! I just had to snap a pic with my iPhone, hehe.

Dude, bleck!!!
I had all four wisdom teeth pulled at once. The bottoms WOULDN'T come out!!! He had to SAW THEM IN HALF, and pull out the pieces(interlock your fingers on both hands, and that's how my roots were)! I had root fragments working their way out of my gums, for about a year! I was in the chair, for what seemed like 3 hours(I know he had to cancel several appointments, to finish me). My head was swollen, and I had black and blue streaks, almost down to my nipples(unfortunately, I'm serious). It was the single worst "medical" procedure I've ever experienced!
Oh yeah, and I'm the guy they can never get numb. Seriously, I've had up to 15-20 shots, and still can feel pain.
that's awesome.

but technically, you're not supposed to let your mouth fill up with blood. you should change the gauze out every so often and place a new gauze in to soak up the blood and keep good pressure on the sites to get the bleeding to stop oozing.

hope you're doing better now.
