I am a few days late.... (been away from the 'puter over the holiday.)
As I recall about 2 (maybe 3?) years ago you gave us a list/downloads of your favorite Christmas songs. That list was pretty cool and I enjoyed them as I was cooking.
Here's to more listening pleasure as I'm in the kitchen -- my favorite place to listen -- as I prepare to feed the hungry relatives who have come to call.
Thanks Gerald. It just finished downloading. I'm off to listen. Will get back to you.

I think of all of them....
I liked The Pains of Being Pure at Heart the best. I ended up listening to that one more than a few times.
ON the other side of the beat spectrum (slower pace), I liked Pearl Jam's Just Breathe.
I did listen to all of them on a slow afternoon at work, namely New Year's Eve when the walk-in traffic was nil.
Thanks for bringing my attention to them and sharing them. Keep me in mind for next year.
[On Edit -- my condolences on your mother's passing. I am sure that you are going to miss her a lot. Try to write down all the thoughts of the good times when they are upppermost in your mind. Years later, you will be glad you did. I lost my mom when I was 20, and my kids ask about her. It's been 36 years...long time to try to remember specific details.]

I had downloaded your list Gerald but sofar i had not found the time to listen. So 2 days ago i burned everything on cd and played it in the car on my way to work yesterday. My absolute fave is Pearl Jam's Just Breathe.Played it 3 times in a row. Beautiful lyrics. Thank you
Still need to listen a few times to the other songs minus the Cave Singers who are also among my 2009 favorites.
funny: i played Just Breathe for Otto and asked him who he thought this was by and know what he said ?
Neil Diamond !
and guess what ?
Eddie does sound a bit like Neil at first ....
