There's been a massive influx of spammers recently. I've been doing my best to ban them and delete all their threads (I apologise whole-heartedly if I've accidentally deleted any real threads in this process, there were whole pages full today alone). If you see any just ignore them or you can flag them for deletion.
I think I need to ask Vanessa if there's a way to approve registrations because lately this is getting ridiculous.

I noticed the thread upon thread upon thread of spam the other day and figured ya'll would see all of it and delete.
I'll never understand going to a completely random site and registering just so you can post nonsense. LOL

Sharon, the problem would be taken care of by requiring registration verification. People would have to get an email with a link to confirm registration.
This site is slow enough, and if these spam threads continue, I could see people giving up altogether.

Yeah you're right, it's just horrible to come here and see the whole board covered with spam. I hate deleting it and I can understand why people wouldn't want to wade through dodgy threads to get to the real ones. Yesterday was particularly bad.
In the last couple of days there's been about 100 spammers who have registered and they keep coming! I've been banning them but I can't be here all the time. We're never had so many before, it's like we've suddenly been targeted. I also had to turn off the calendar as it was all spam.
Carne, I'll ask Vanessa if she can do that or if I can approve registrations. It would be much easier than this.
