I'm not good at writing concert reviews but my first FM concert last night was fantastic ! ( with exception of the ticket debacle )
As predicted i chocked up when they started playing and i had tears streaming down my face for the whole duration of Landslide when the audience sang along every word.
Lindsey really was the star of the evening and had the whole venue up and aplauding and stomping their feet. And at the Sportpaleis that gives you the impression of a minor earth quake Laughing
I'm So Afraid live still gives me the chivers no matter how many times i hear it. Stevie looked a bit tired to me and only at the end she seemed fully alive and in to it when they did World Turning.
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but during Stand Back it seemed to me that LB was really having fun, singing along with all the words and mimicking some of Stevie's movements. I thought it was quite funny to watch.
And... Silver Springs was the closing song, with a really angry looking Stevie. Don't ask me about the full set list; i was too busy watching , enjoying and occasionally taking pictures , so i did not take notes. I have not had time to look at my pictures so i do not know if any turned out well or not. If they did, i will upload them as soon as i have the time.
And because of some human and technical problems, Marieke did not get any Stoofvlees met Frietjes but we did manage to meet before the concert. Now that we have each others' cell phone numbers we'll make sure that on the next occasion nothing goes wrong Kiss
Glad you had such great time, and managed to meet up with Mari! Got a few SMS from her before and during the gig, something about Lindsey's long speeches but at least she seemed to enjoy the songs. Laughing Hope to get her raport soon too.
Triskel! That ticket disaster is cruel! From what spot did you see the show? Rotterdam last night was great too! I'm still a bit dissapointed that I did not meet any chainies or ledgies, but I was with a good friend and the show was fabulous. They are loosening up, I think. In Oberhausen Stevie looked tired, but was is good vocal shape, In Rotterdam, she shined.

You know, I walked around Antwerpen all day long looking for a place where they had Belgische Frieten met Stoofvlees, but you think I found one? None!

I ended up having to eat at McDonalds. Crazy

Did you see that picture on the Ledge of Lindsey+wife at the Groenplaats in Antwerp ? Every café there is serving Stoofvlees met frieten.
And every frietkot in town has stoofvlees to go with the frietjes.... so how can you end up at McDo ???Eek
Next time we need to organize a bit better and meet up with everyone in the center of town. That is, if there ever is a next time which i hope there will be and should be if Lindsey still has faith in cycles Laughing Wavey

We ended up in not too bad seats, on Lindsey's side of the stage but a bit up. As for looking tired, maybe Stevie had been shopping too much in Antwerp : clothes at Kaat Tilley's , lace, diamonds ... Laughing . She said they had been walking around our 'beautiful town" all day Bigthumbsup

Need sort out my pictures and upload them, but the weekend is full and i'm coming down with a cold Mad

Silver Springs :

pictures tomorrow ....
I don't know how zoomed in you were with your camera Suzy, but it's like your seats were perfectly level with the stage. It's a great angle (though not so great for stevie's tummy Shocked). Thanks for posting.

As zoomed in as possible Laughing but yes, our seats were only slightly higher than the stage.
