As you might have read, i had purchased tickets for last night's concert through Seatwave. Upon our arrival we were told at the venue that our tickets were blacklisted and we needed to present them at the box office. When we got there it turned out we were not the only ones; another couple who had come all the way from the Netherlands , had also bought tickets from Seatwave and they had the seats next to us and what is more : their tickets were made out to the same person as our tickets.! Apparently this seller had bought several tickets and consequently sold them on Seatwave, then had them blacklisted and finally obtained duplicate tickets at the venue to get in herself (there were no empty seats in the section we were supposed to sit so she had to be there as proof of identity is needed to get duplicate tickets.)
Anyone buying seats from Seatwave beware !

After several attemps i finally got through on the phone to Seatwave. After explaining the situation i was asked to send them a scan of the blacklisted tickets and they would make sure i was being refunded. The seller of the tickets would be banned from Seatwave and would not receive payment for these tickets. I'll let you know when (and if

) i receive the refund.
As i also bought tickets for Wembley through Seatwave, i called Wembley today and asked them to check my tickets. After having read out everything printed on the tickets and describing how they looked, i was told that as far as they could tell, the tickets were genuine. So hopefully they will not pose any problem. I guess we'll better make sure we have enough cash on us in case ......

That's awful Suzy. Did you have to buy tickets at the venue then?
Oh that's horrible...were you able to see the show?

Yes, we had to buy new tickets at the venue. And they only accept cash, no creditcards so we were lucky to have enough cash with us because we had planned on buying some merchandise. Fortunately there were still some fairly good seats available but alas not near the stage.
If we had been in row 8 as we had expected, i would have been able to stand near the stage during the whole concert

Seeing Lindsey on fire did ease the pain a little
Seatwave has refunded all my costs ! Tickets, insurance and postage .

This restores my faith in them somewhat but i do hope the Wembley tickets will be legitimate.
glad you got your money back, Suzy!
How awful! I'm glad you got your money back!
