I never saw this before.

What do you think: that white bathroom is at his house and later he took those recordings to the studio, built a echoroom and remade all those hometracks? BangHead

unbelievable.
I have these outtakes on DVD. I wish I could figure out how to make a copy, I am just useless at these things Sad
And yeah, these clips have been cut down but that's Lindsey at work at his home. I love the one where he's on his hands and knees singing into that microphone taped to the floor Laughing
The Tusk documentary seriously need to be re-released with all this stuff. It's so weird and plain lazy it hasn't been. Other bands, much smaller less important bands than the Mac, have released this sort of stuff on DVD.
I think the Tusk album, more than any other, seems to be the most interesting in terms of recording and unique techniques used. It's so funny making a million dollar punk rock album, essentially. Here was Lindsey trying to create this DIY sound, that others probably did for hardly money at all, and spending vast amounts of money to do so. But the results speak for themselves. It's got one of the most unique sounds to it, the whole record, that I don't think any other band has come close to re-creating.

Aaaarghh, Sharon, don't you have a friend that just copies a dvd in a heartbeat? I'd kill for a copy! Bowdown
I agree on the unique sounds. Not only on Lindsey's own songs, but man, Brown Eyes, Sara, Never Forget, Never Make Me Cry, Sisters Of The Moon are sonic masterpieces.

That's Enough For Me Is my current fave at the moment. I've been listening to Elliott Brood a lot lately and this one just fits in that whole sound. I just love how the pace of that song increases, it just floats into that faster mode. And the acoustic guitarpiece in the middle, the "solo", is simply one of the greatest pieces he has ever played. It's just not easy to recognize it as a solo because it fits so organic in this nearly twominute masterpiece. I love it love it love it.
