I love it when other artists, some of whom Lindsey probably doesn't have a clue who they are!, mention Lindsey. I thought it would be cool to start a thread and gather all the mentions together.
Here's girl guitar hero Kaki King speaking about Mr Buckingham last year:

April 6, 2008 -- WITH her unusual approach to her instrument - all hammered-on notes and percussive thumps - Kaki King is often regarded as a burgeoning guitar hero. But her dulcet singing voice and soothing atmospherics betray a very different path than most who earn that title. As evidence of just how outside the guitar-hero norm she is, she cites one of her biggest influences as Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham.
Note her reaction when this reporter expresses surprise.
"Really? He's one of the greatest! That's crazy!" says King, 28, who brings her hard acoustic style to the Bowery Ballroom Wednesday night. "He was a great finger-picker, but played rock guitar with his fingers."
And Animal Collective mentioning him too

Noah, actually, says a lot of my songs remind him of Lindsey Buckingham...I like Fleetwood Mac a lot, in terms of older bands or pop bands, they're one of the greatest. Tusk, Rumors-- the Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, that whole lineup has definitely been an influence on me.
And Joanna Newsom in 2007 listed her favourite songs of 2006 and top of the list was Shut Us Down by Lindsey. She simply wrote:
"I love him"

And of course Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge of The Thorns love Lindsey too:

Droge: Early on Matthew and I definitely bonded over Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk. We’re both fanatical about the Lindsey Buckingham stuff on that record.
Sweet: I love the Lindsey Buckingham-Stevie Nicks era of Fleetwood Mac. Our record has their vibe, that Fleetwood Mac sound, even though we don’t have any female singers.
I remember Radiohead mentioned him too but I can't find the quote
