That is amazing !
Holy Schnapps! That's fantastic! See, Lindsey, it CAN be done. Hehe. Wink
That is good. Damn! Blows away my cover of Save Me a Place, that's for sure!
Really, the only flaw is how this guy can't quite hit the pitch on "caaaaaaaan't complain." Other than that, tremendous!

True, although he's growing as the song builds. I bet if we give him another month on singing he'll do a perfect rendition. How old is this song? He could only practice since september 16th!

Hmmmm... you may be right but it may be a case in which he can't hit the note in that particular key. But more importantly, he is playing the hell out of that thing and doing a great job at it!

Well OK, but there have been more youtube guitarwizards that played big love. I am very impressed with this one because he sings AND plays guitar this way simultaneously. His voice isn't built for the high note, but he catches the feel of the long "can't complain" at the end. Well, it's clear that he made a big impression on us. Seems like a sympathic dude too.

Cool stuff. I was learning this song but this guy beat me to it. I'm working on a solo acoustic guitar and voice version of Play In The Rain at the minute but the parts in Part 1 of the song with the water pouring and other samples are pretty hard to emulate on guitar. At the minute I'm just going with a bit of a freakout!

Shocked Shocked Did you read my remarks on youtube underneath this cover-clip?

BTW: The freakout-choice sounds OK!

I remembered you mentioning it somewhere, that must have been where. I thought it was maybe in this thread but looking through it I think it must have been on youtube

It's on the second commentpage on youtube. Did I bring you to the idea, or was it spontaneous?

I've thought of doing a few LB songs as solo guitar stuff that he hasn't adapted like that yet and PITR was one that I thought might be too hard until I heard Great Day. I still would never have started working on it if I hadn't seen your comment though so I'd say you brought me to the idea.

At the minute my versions working out pretty drone-y for the most part. I'll need to think of a way to spice it up a bit!
Could you send me an mp3 with what you have? Maybe I can help you out with ideas? I sdon't play guitar at all, but still......
Sure, I'll try get a rough version of what I'm working on recorded tonight. I'm still not 100% sure on what to do for part 1 but part 2 is okay in a drone sort of way but ideas would be very welcome.
