AAAAHHH!
guys, thaks so much!!!! I had a great flight. It's seven oclock now, I went out at six for my willcall ticket, but I saw behind the theater some roadcrewlike men , went for a talk, said where I came from and one of them said, Stay here, he's coming in in 5 minutes. A fat chevy rode in and Lindsey got out!!!!, talking on the phone, But he gave me a hand, I said I was gerald from the netherlands , the one who asked you that question about Jack White, He remembered, smiled and said, so you flew in from the Netherlands? That's amazing. By the way I'd love to work with Jack White. So I said: Why didn't you listen to me, you produced Gift Of Screws all by yourself except a few songs. He started laughing out loud, and said there's always a next time, have a nice show. I said, you too, tapped him on the shoulder and he went in talking on the phone again saying: yes sorry but there was a guy who came all the way from the netherlands.... I spoke to Neal and Brett too, to much to type that chitchat, although Neal and I expressed our love for bel air rain, he started to sing the I was mistaken for a whore-thing, I sang along with him and we laughed.
What a start....
wow.
xxxxx
gerald. I'm NOW going to the venue, three minutes walking from my hotel.... wow wow wow.

Gerald, you're so awesome.
I'm glad you said all that stuff to him! I didn't really try to meet him when I was over there but I wish I had now. I'm glad you got to talk to him and maybe he'll listen to your advice for the next album (if Jack has enough free time).
I hope you have the best time ever while you're there. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the concerts.

The show was awesome. You're right, Christy, his voice is in incredible shape. The way he sang SUD made me cry out loud. The way he builds that song up, the intensity of the verses, it blew my mind. Especially the ending, which seemed way much longer than on the boots I heard....it's becoming a stagemonster like ISA, but then acoustic ofcourse. The sovereign PAC is just the most beautiful venue I've ever seen. Lindsey liked it too, he mentioned it a few times. The crowd was great, although I'm feeling old now. Well at 43, you shouldn't complain about that, but still....
No ledgies, maybe there were a few, but they didn't search for shackin' up, that's clear...
No, I'm lying, I met Michele, that posted under the name of Maccafan. I saw her freaking out like I did. I totally crashed during Love runs deeper, I know I'm Not Wrong ( I was in the exact middle of the orchestra area, stood up as a sole person and screamed the papapapapa's with him with both arms swinging in the same rythm. When the song was over I apologised to the people sitting behind me, but they said:no problem. After shut us down they said softly to eachother " I think he cried". Not sure if they meant me or Lindsey. The latter was close to it, but the safe thing to guess was that they talked about me.
So Afraid was fab, but TPT went in another universe. The way he sings and plays that one live just shooks up the earth. I was in front of stage by then. When GYOW started I just ran up there. I just watched in awe how he presented that song.
I didn't catch him after the show. I went for a beer at my hotel with a very cool guy that was ten years older than me, but was a great talkingpartner before the show. He looked like John Irving and he was very kind. He waited for me after I came from the frontstage, and invited me for a beer. It was fabulous to meet cool people and I've got three more chances to get my picture.
I don't want an autograph. I want a pic with Him and me.
Yes Him. This man has sometrhing no other artist has. Period.
By the way sharon, the keychain is in my pocket right now.
PS: I'm staying at a very classy hotel. They have free internetaccess. I don't know if I'm able to check in with you guys this week, but this first gig day was something to never forget.
yours sincerely,
aslongasican.
