This "Top of the Pope" was published in the Osservatore Romano, the Vatican's official newspaper , and it's authors said that "these albums are supposed to help the faithful in their battle against the misery of cold winters and the flood of mediocre music at festivals"

Well, many journalists laughingly spread this "news item" and some of them tried to find as many contradictions in the Vatican's choice as possible.
